Thirty-one other rooms let Devin Neal slide, and the Cowboys were the ones holding the card at the 152nd overall pick. Highway robbery. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

The Fatheree II reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.15 · Pick 15 · Mason Graham · DT · rank 7
In the Round 1 slot they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher, outstanding value to boot.
R2.14 · Pick 46 · Xavier Restrepo · WR · rank 49
No edge and no loss on Xavier Restrepo in No. 46; it is a wash and a sensible one. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
R3.13 · Pick 77 · Jihaad Campbell · LB · rank 40
They will replay Jihaad Campbell at Round 3, Pick 13 for years; that is how good the value is. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
R5.14 · Pick 152 · Devin Neal · RB · rank 84
Devin Neal in slot 152 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R5.30 · Pick 168 · Joshua Gray · OG · rank 167
No drama and no debate, Joshua Gray went about where he belonged in the 168th pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R5.32 · Pick 170 · Chris Paul Jr. · LB · rank 117
Chris Paul Jr. in the 170th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R5.33 · Pick 171 · Sonny Styles · S · rank 124
Steal is underselling it; Sonny Styles at pick 171 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R6.15 · Pick 190 · Will Lee III · CB · rank 230
A big swing on Will Lee III at pick No. 190, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R6.34 · Pick 209 · Seth McLaughlin · C · rank 202
Seth McLaughlin in the Round 6 slot is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R7.34 · Pick 248 · Reuben Fatheree II · OT · rank 314
A real head-scratcher, Reuben Fatheree II in pick 248 is miles ahead of his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
