The Chargers spent real capital to be 156 picks early on Mycah Pittman, and the board is going to hold them to it.
Getting Mitchell where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
Fair-plus on Marvin Harrison Jr., a quiet win that adds up over a draft. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Sedrick Van Pran in the 37th overall pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.

They read the board right and Luke McCaffrey was the payoff at Round 5, Pick 18. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
