When the story of this class is written, it opens with Dallas Gant at pick 216, a reach of 102 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
The Newton pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

In No. 24 they get a cornerstone up front. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A big swing on Malik Washington at pick No. 60, well ahead of any board in the building. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A reach for Kamren Kinchens in pick 87; a little patience would have been rewarded. It adds depth where they could use a little.
A real head-scratcher, Blake Watson in Round 4, Pick 28 is miles ahead of his ranking. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Ty'Ron Hopper in the 144th pick, miles early. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Josh Newton in the Round 5 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
