Of all the ways to open, the Packers chose the head-scratcher, spending No. 91 on Cade Stover with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still wide open. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting Jones proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
