This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Emery Jones Jr., the No. 128 name on the board, stolen at slot 172.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
