You could see the war room lean forward. Jaylen Reed at Round 7, Pick 23 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. The bottom line is a respectable B.
They will regret leaving tight end for another day if the season turns on it. Reaching for Phillips left real value on the table behind him.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Tetairoa McMillan at pick 12 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They read the board right and Jonah Savaiinaea was the payoff at Round 2, Pick 26. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
TreVeyon Henderson in the Round 3 slot is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jordan Phillips in the 90th pick, miles early. The roster fit checks out.
A top-tier quarterback at a bargain, Riley Leonard in pick No. 127, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
You do not let a cornerback like Jacob Parrish reach No. 149 and blink. They did not. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Taking Cody Simon in slot 153 is close to grand larceny; a linebacker that good had no business lasting this long. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Logan Brown in the 171st overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.

Circle this one: Jaylen Reed at pick No. 239 is a fall that decides a draft. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Kyle Williams at the Round 7 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
