The one they had to fix is still broken. The Eagles left interior defensive lineman untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
They will need Green to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. That is a wide receiver worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly.
Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Kenyon Sadiq in the Round 1 slot; it is a wash and a sensible one. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A slide stopped in the 54th overall pick, with Ja'Kobi Lane worth more than the price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Will Lee III at pick No. 68 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
A big swing on Kenyatta Jackson Jr. at Round 3, Pick 34, well ahead of any board in the building. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
The board had Zachariah Branch higher than slot 122, and the wide receiver fell to them anyway. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A reach on Max Iheanachor in No. 138; the board had better options right there. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They reached a country mile for Taylen Green at pick 152, and the board is aghast. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
They paid sticker price for Bud Clark in the 180th pick, and that is fine. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They took Desmond Reid at par in the 202nd overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. A need, and now a little less of one.
