You can hear the double-takes from here. The Cardinals took Nazir Stackhouse at Round 4, Pick 13, roughly 85 spots before his name belonged. The bottom line is a respectable B-.
Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. On value alone, Restrepo makes the weekend a net positive.
Job largely done: wide receiver settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 16th overall pick they get a building block for the line, though the board says they badly overpaid. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A tidy little value on Jihaad Campbell in No. 47, a step better than break-even. A need, and now a little less of one.
Xavier Restrepo slipping to the Round 3 slot is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Nazir Stackhouse at pick 114 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. It fills a real need, too.
Ben Sauls in Round 5, Pick 14 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
