Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the Cardinals spent Round 4, Pick 13 on Howard Cross III, a name most had 50 spots down the list. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.
On value alone, Collins makes the weekend a net positive. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 16 they get a long-term starter on the line, reach and all. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Value said wait; Tyler Baron in Round 2, Pick 15 says they were not listening. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
They robbed the room for Alfred Collins here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Howard Cross III in the 114th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A straight-up fair deal on Logan Brown at slot 153, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
