You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Packers did exactly that with Zion Logue in the Round 6 slot. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, quarterback and other spots still on the board. The Jacobs value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
R1.27
· Pick 27

By-the-book stuff, Quinyon Mitchell at Round 1, Pick 27 squarely in line with his ranking. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.

They barely believed it either: Curtis Jacobs still on the board at slot 203. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.

· Pick 227
· Jeremy Flax
· OT
· rank 235
Jeremy Flax at the 227th pick jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R7.26
· Pick 246
· Nathaniel Watson
· LB
· rank 240
Nathaniel Watson in the Round 7 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
