There is conviction, and then there is this. The Packers took Isaiah Davis a full 139 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend.

Jones at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. They went 4 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
