When a board-topper like Sonny Styles slides to the Round 5 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Seahawks did not. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through offensive lineman.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 18 they get a centerpiece for the ground game, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
Mansoor Delane in the 64th pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. It adds depth where they could use a little.
They will replay David Bailey at slot 82 for years; that is how good the value is. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Jordyn Tyson at No. 96 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
