The Cowboys clearly saw something nobody else did in Jeremy Flax, taking him 39 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A weekend of give and take that grades a C.
The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.
Pick-by-Pick
A slide stopped in pick 87, with Christian Mahogany worth more than the price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Isaiah Adams in the Round 4 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
No edge and no loss on Layden Robinson in the 173rd overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Jeremy Flax in the 213th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Dylan McMahon well ahead of where he belonged. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
