The Cowboys looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Xavian Sorey Jr. at pick No. 126 regardless, 50 picks early. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Ollie Gordon II at pick No. 30 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A need, and now a little less of one.
A conviction pick on Shilo Sanders at the 70th overall pick that the board grades a round light. It adds depth where they could use a little.
