For all the boxes ticked, the Cowboys skipped the loudest one: linebacker is exactly as bare as it was. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.
The Zinter reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Turner at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.
Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
