The needs board said one thing and the Packers did another, using slot 82 on Terrion Arnold while cornerback, quarterback and other spots waited.
They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Stutsman.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 7 they get a blindside protector at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
A straight-up fair deal on Keon Coleman at Round 2, Pick 7, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Graham Barton at the 48th overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
McKinnley Jackson at No. 71 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The roster fit checks out.
Hard to square with the roster. With positions of obvious need still on the board, Terrion Arnold adds a defensive back and leaves cornerback, quarterback and other spots untouched.
The board had Danny Stutsman higher than pick 107, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Darius Robinson in the 135th pick is fair value, right on his grade. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
