Dallas Cowboys

More right than wrong for the Cowboys, and a B to prove it.

There is a lot to like until you notice wide receiver is still a hole. The Cowboys never got to the one that mattered most.

The Zinter reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. On value alone, Brooks makes the weekend a net positive.

Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.27 · Pick 27 · Tyler Guyton · OT · rank 28
Tyler Guyton in Round 1, Pick 27 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R2.24 · Pick 56 · Jonathon Brooks · RB · rank 48
A quiet steal in the 56th pick: Jonathon Brooks for less than the market said. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R3.24 · Pick 87 · Trey Benson · RB · rank 87
A market-rate running back, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trey Benson. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R3.27 · Pick 90 · Zak Zinter · OG · rank 105
They went early on Zak Zinter in No. 90, and the value did not follow. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
