There is a lot to like until you notice wide receiver is still a hole. The Cowboys never got to the one that mattered most.
The Gray steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 24 they get an anchor for the offensive line at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Cooper Beebe at No. 57 is the proof. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They took Trey Benson at par in the 87th pick, which is nothing to complain about. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Cedric Gray is a better player than the 125th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
