You build a draft on nights like this. Quinshon Judkins had no business being available in the 106th pick, and the Cowboys did the only sane thing and turned in the card. They executed a plan and it shows in the A-.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through cornerback.
Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
Pick-by-Pick
Kaleb Johnson in pick No. 38 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A need, and now a little less of one.
A tidy little value on Jihaad Campbell in the Round 2 slot, a step better than break-even. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
They paid sticker price for Isaiah Bond in Round 3, Pick 12, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
No drama and no debate, Donovan Jackson went about where he belonged in the 81st pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
You do not let a running back like Quinshon Judkins reach slot 106 and blink. They did not. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
