Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Dolphins never addressed quarterback, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
Isaac has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
No edge and no loss on Amarius Mims in No. 21; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They paid a round early for Adisa Isaac in the 53rd pick, more than the board wanted. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Good price on Zak Zinter in pick No. 98, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They took Jared Wiley at par in Round 6, Pick 24, which is nothing to complain about. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Joshua Cephus in the Round 7 slot. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
