Boards are made to be trusted, and the Chiefs shredded theirs for Walter Rouse. He came off 31 spots early, and the room will hear about it.
The Wilson value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

A premium they did not need to pay, Patrick Paul a notch or two before his time. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
By-the-book stuff, Javon Bullard at the 64th pick squarely in line with his ranking. A minor itch, scratched.
Johnny Wilson at the Round 3 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Kamal Hadden at No. 133 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Theo Johnson in pick 140 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A straight-up fair deal on Jaylen Wright at the 158th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Austin Booker in pick No. 172 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Somehow Michael Barrett was still sitting there in pick 210, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. It fills a real need, too.
