Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Chiefs were there to profit. Jarrian Jones, the No. 149 name on the board, should have been long gone before No. 172. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
The tight end spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. If Eboigbe pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.

The board had cheaper options than Justin Eboigbe at pick No. 133, and it noticed. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
They jumped the gun on Walter Rouse, taking him earlier than his grade liked. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
You do not let a cornerback like Jarrian Jones reach pick 172 and blink. They did not. They added to a strength when a need was still open elsewhere.
A quiet steal in No. 253: Jordan Magee for less than the market said. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
