There is a lot to like until you notice tight end is still a hole. The Chiefs never got to the one that mattered most. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B.
Eboigbe has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. On value alone, Jackson makes the weekend a net positive.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
Pick-by-Pick
Amarius Mims is a better player than pick 32 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
They liked Xavier Legette enough to skip the value, taking him in the 64th overall pick. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Khyree Jackson at the Round 3 slot is the proof. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
A reach for Justin Eboigbe in No. 132; a little patience would have been rewarded. The roster fit checks out.
A straight-up fair deal on Walter Rouse at Round 5, Pick 23, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They paid up for Daijun Edwards at pick No. 173 when waiting would have done the job. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A clean, defensible pick in the 252nd pick with a little surplus value in Jalen Sundell. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
