Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Eagles never addressed edge rusher, and it is the kind of gap that lingers.
On value alone, Rosemy-Jacksaint makes the weekend a net positive. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Reaching for McClellan left real value on the table behind him.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick-by-Pick
In Round 1, Pick 22 they get a potential shutdown corner at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
By-the-book stuff, Edgerrin Cooper at slot 50 squarely in line with his ranking. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
No drama and no debate, Xavier Worthy went about where he belonged in No. 53. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They did well to land Blake Fisher in the 120th pick, just ahead of his grade. It fills a real need, too.
They paid sticker price for Tykee Smith in the 161st overall pick, and that is fine. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Jaheim Bell in pick 171. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Layden Robinson in pick No. 172 is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
Jase McClellan at the Round 6 slot jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
A tidy bit of business in slot 210, where Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint graded well above the range. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Sheridan Jones at the 225th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They read the board right and Edefuan Ulofoshio was the payoff at pick 248. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Value with a capital V on Josh Proctor in the Round 7 slot, a genuine coup. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
