There is a lot to like until you notice edge rusher is still a hole. The Packers never got to the one that mattered most. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
The Moore steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 3 of 8 of the wish list covered.
The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 19 they get protection for the quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Nothing to complain about; Troy Fautanu went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Ennis Rakestraw Jr. in pick No. 51 lands just on the right side of the ledger. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Rod Moore at No. 83 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Value with a capital V on Michael Hall Jr. in the 92nd pick, a genuine coup. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
