Call it larceny. Jacob Rodriguez sat on the board until No. 111, and the Titans did not need to be asked twice. It holds up to a second look, which is why it earns the A-.
They are betting Fano proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The phones were where this weekend was really won.
The veteran additions, Isaiah Rodgers Sr. chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Bottom line, with Kayden McDonald leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
Pick-by-Pick
They let Kayden McDonald come to them and pounced at the Round 2 slot. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They robbed the room for CJ Allen here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
Dillon Thieneman at the 63rd overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Somehow Keith Abney II was still sitting there in slot 66, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Eli Stowers in No. 78 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The roster fit checks out.
Steal is underselling it; Connor Lew at Round 3, Pick 31 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Elijah Sarratt in pick 101 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Circle this one: Jacob Rodriguez at the 111th pick is a fall that decides a draft. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Nicholas Singleton is a better player than No. 112 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
You do not let a cornerback like Malik Muhammad reach slot 113 and blink. They did not. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.

A slide stopped in the Round 4 slot, with Jude Bowry worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
They barely believed it either: Mike Washington Jr. still on the board at Round 5, Pick 2. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
