Somewhere a general manager is explaining how Domonique Orange got past him. The Giants do not have to explain a thing at the 111th overall pick. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
The Kitselman pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The wide receiver hole is the one line item this class does not answer.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the wide receiver spot they never got to.
Pick-by-Pick
In slot 5 they get a two-high chess piece. Exactly the need they had to hit.
CJ Allen in pick No. 62 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. A minor need, but a need all the same.
The board fumbled Mike Washington Jr. all the way to Round 4, Pick 5, and they scooped it up. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Jalon Kilgore slipping to the 108th overall pick is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Steal is underselling it; Domonique Orange at the Round 4 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
