There is reaching, and then there is Trey Zuhn III at pick 114. The Cardinals jumped the board by 81 and dared it to prove them wrong. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
Landing Campbell that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Tetairoa McMillan in pick 16. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Somehow T.J. Sanders was still sitting there in No. 47, and they pounced on premier interior defensive lineman value. The roster fit checks out.
Jihaad Campbell in the Round 3 slot is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Trey Zuhn III at the 114th pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
They talked themselves into Shemar Turner at slot 151, and the board did not agree. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
