Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Patriots, and the value they bled adds up to real damage.
Everything downstream of Drake Maye depends on Drake Maye, and the building knows it. Getting Thomas where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 3rd pick they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
In slot 10 they get a true top target, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
