Start where it matters. The Patriots took Drake Maye to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
That edge rusher hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. On value alone, Wallace makes the weekend a net positive.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.

In pick No. 3 they get their quarterback of the future. A real need, handled.
In No. 31 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Patrick Paul. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
