It is the swing that defines the weekend: Taylen Green in the 154th pick, a good 34 spots before the room expected him.

However the rest shakes out, Miller at that price is a win they earned. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.11 · Pick 11 · Arvell Reese · LB · rank 7
In the Round 1 slot they get a three-down second-level presence. A real need, handled.
R2.11 · Pick 43 · Dillon Thieneman · S · rank 35
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Dillon Thieneman in slot 43. A minor itch, scratched.
R2.15 · Pick 47 · Anthony Hill Jr. · LB · rank 39
They read the board right and Anthony Hill Jr. was the payoff at pick 47. A need, and now a little less of one.
R3.11 · Pick 75 · Eli Stowers · TE · rank 53
Eli Stowers at No. 75 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R3.16 · Pick 80 · Christen Miller · DL · rank 56
Taking Christen Miller in the 80th pick is close to grand larceny; an interior defensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
R3.24 · Pick 88 · Elijah Sarratt · WR · rank 77
A tidy bit of business in Round 3, Pick 24, where Elijah Sarratt graded well above the range. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R3.26 · Pick 90 · Daylen Everette · CB · rank 81
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Daylen Everette at No. 90 is the proof. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
R3.30 · Pick 94 · Ted Hurst · WR · rank 87
A clean, defensible pick in Round 3, Pick 30 with a little surplus value in Ted Hurst. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
R4.30 · Pick 130 · Jude Bowry · OT · rank 129
Jude Bowry in slot 130 is fair value, right on his grade. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
R5.11 · Pick 151 · Dametrious Crownover · OT · rank 144
Dametrious Crownover at pick No. 151 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R5.14 · Pick 154 · Taylen Green · QB · rank 188
They talked themselves into Taylen Green at pick 154, and the board did not agree. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
R5.26 · Pick 166 · Kage Casey · OT · rank 160
Kage Casey at the 166th overall pick is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
R6.30 · Pick 211 · Toriano Pride Jr. · CB · rank 210
A straight-up fair deal on Toriano Pride Jr. at the 211th pick, value and slot in agreement. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
R7.11 · Pick 227 · Thaddeus Dixon · CB · rank 220
Fair-plus on Thaddeus Dixon, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Stacking talent where they were already deep.
R7.17 · Pick 233 · Harrison Wallace III · WR · rank 211
The board fumbled Harrison Wallace III all the way to the 233rd overall pick, and they scooped it up. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R7.22 · Pick 238 · TJ Hall · CB · rank 222
They let TJ Hall come to them and pounced at No. 238. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
