The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named cornerback, a need the Cowboys walked right past. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
If Ayomanor pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. Landing Jeanty that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 12 they get a lead back with juice, and a steal at that. A real need, handled.
They paid a round early for Elic Ayomanor in No. 44, more than the board wanted. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Isaiah Bond in pick No. 76 is fair value, right on his grade. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
