Call it belief, call it a gut call, but Eyabi Okie-Anoma at the 231st pick is 52 spots clear of consensus, and that is the headline.
They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through wide receiver.
The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In No. 3 they get a long-term starter on the line. A clean fit for the roster.
Nehemiah Pritchett in the Round 5 slot is fair value, right on his grade. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
They liked Justin Rogers enough to skip the value, taking him in Round 6, Pick 5. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jaylen Harrell in the 193rd overall pick is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Eyabi Okie-Anoma at pick 231 is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
