Boards are made to be trusted, and the Packers shredded theirs for Trevin Wallace. He came off 60 spots early, and the room will hear about it. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.
Landing Oladapo that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Spending an early pick on linebacker with edge rusher, cornerback and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.
Running back is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Hit on Jackson Powers-Johnson and the swing picks, and this ages a lot better than it grades today.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 25th overall pick they get a blindside protector at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
No edge and no loss on Edgerrin Cooper in Round 2, Pick 9; it is a wash and a sensible one. A minor need, but a need all the same.
A big swing on Roger Rosengarten at the Round 2 slot, well ahead of any board in the building. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
MarShawn Lloyd in No. 88 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
They bypassed pressing needs at edge rusher, cornerback and other spots to take Trevin Wallace, a linebacker that was not the priority.
Malik Mustapha in pick No. 126 is fair value, right on his grade. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Kitan Oladapo in pick 169 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Evan Williams at the 202nd overall pick is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Jacob Monk in Round 6, Pick 44 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Jalen Sundell well ahead of where he belonged. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
LaDarius Henderson in slot 255 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
