Call it larceny. Josaiah Stewart sat on the board until No. 217, and the Patriots did not need to be asked twice.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. The back end got a real overhaul.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Good price on Travis Hunter in slot 4, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Circle this one: Wyatt Milum at pick 38 is a fall that decides a draft. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.

Josaiah Stewart in Round 7, Pick 1 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
A linebacker of that caliber at pick No. 220 is the definition of value, full stop. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Somehow Chase Lundt was still sitting there in No. 238, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. The roster fit checks out.
