When a board-topper like Connor Lew slides to the 115th overall pick, you do not overthink it, and the Ravens did not. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 19 they get a mismatch in the passing game at fair value.
Emmanuel Pregnon at slot 45 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Ted Hurst at pick 80 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Circle this one: Connor Lew at the 115th pick is a fall that decides a draft. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
No drama and no debate, Keyshaun Elliott went about where he belonged in Round 4, Pick 19. A minor itch, scratched.
A tidy little value on Charles Demmings in No. 154, a step better than break-even. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
A reasonable price with a little left over, Zxavian Harris in the Round 5 slot. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Demond Claiborne at the 173rd overall pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
No edge and no loss on Aamil Wagner in No. 174; it is a wash and a sensible one. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Dalton Johnson at slot 211 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
