They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Drake Maye is the Giants' quarterback, full stop. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. However the rest shakes out, Foster at that price is a win they earned.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick No. 3 they get their guy under center for the next decade. A clean fit for the roster.
Xavier Worthy in pick 35 is fair value, right on his grade. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Ladd McConkey at No. 57 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They took Tyler Guyton at par in Round 3, Pick 3, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
No drama and no debate, Tate Ratledge went about where he belonged in the 103rd overall pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Darius Robinson at the Round 5 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A slide stopped in slot 181, with Javon Foster worth more than the price. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
