The search is over. The Giants handed the keys to Jayden Daniels, and the whole operation now runs on his development. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. On value alone, Trice makes the weekend a net positive.
A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 6th pick they get the face of the franchise at fair value.
Xavier Legette at the Round 2 slot nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
A tidy bit of business in slot 47, where Bralen Trice graded well above the range. The roster fit checks out.
They took Cooper Beebe at par in No. 70, which is nothing to complain about. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
DJ James in the 108th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Daijun Edwards in pick 140. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Aki Ogunbiyi at Round 6, Pick 10 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
