Miami Dolphins

More right than wrong for the Dolphins, and a B- to prove it.

Call it larceny. Skyler Bell sat on the board until No. 130, and the Dolphins did not need to be asked twice. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The Brailsford reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.11 · Pick 11 · Monroe Freeling · OT · rank 26
In the 11th pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front, reach and all.
R1.30 · Pick 30 · Denzel Boston · WR · rank 30
In the 30th overall pick they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
R2.11 · Pick 43 · Dillon Thieneman · S · rank 35
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Dillon Thieneman at pick 43 is the proof. It adds depth where they could use a little.
R3.11 · Pick 75 · Dontay Corleone · DT · rank 67
Dontay Corleone in the 75th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
R3.23 · Pick 87 · Parker Brailsford · C · rank 129
Parker Brailsford at the 87th overall pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R3.26 · Pick 90 · Jalen Farmer · OG · rank 106
The board had cheaper options than Jalen Farmer at pick No. 90, and it noticed. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.30 · Pick 94 · Harold Perkins Jr. · LB · rank 132
This one needs a full-page explanation: Harold Perkins Jr. in No. 94, miles early. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
R4.30 · Pick 130 · Skyler Bell · WR · rank 89
They will replay Skyler Bell at slot 130 for years; that is how good the value is. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R5.11 · Pick 151 · Drew Allar · QB · rank 156
Drew Allar in the Round 5 slot is exactly on the number, no argument either way. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R7.11 · Pick 227 · Robert Spears-Jennings · S · rank 254
They left a pile of value on the table to take Robert Spears-Jennings this early at Round 7, Pick 11. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
R7.22 · Pick 238 · Thaddeus Dixon · CB · rank 214
Circle this one: Thaddeus Dixon at Round 7, Pick 22 is a fall that decides a draft. A minor itch, scratched.
