Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins turned the phones into found money: B-.

by aechean · 2026 NFL Draft · 17 picks · 7 steals · 8 reaches

Future D+

The Dolphins went off the board in a big way for Harold Perkins Jr., 55 picks early. Conviction is one thing; this is another. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

The Ponds pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend.

If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher. They left with quarterback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick-by-Pick

R1.30 · Pick 30 · Sonny Styles · LB · rank 21
In the 30th overall pick they get a green-dot type in the middle, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
R1.31 · Pick 31 · Olaivavega Ioane · OG · rank 22
In Round 1, Pick 31 they get a blindside protector, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
R2.6 · Pick 38 · Blake Miller · OT · rank 45
Blake Miller in pick No. 38 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
R2.11 · Pick 43 · Dontay Corleone · DT · rank 67
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Dontay Corleone. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
R2.27 · Pick 59 · Domonique Orange · DT · rank 77
Domonique Orange at the Round 2 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
R2.28 · Pick 60 · A.J. Haulcy · S · rank 49
They read the board right and A.J. Haulcy was the payoff at pick 60. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
R3.11 · Pick 75 · D'Angelo Ponds · CB · rank 47
D'Angelo Ponds in pick 75 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
R3.13 · Pick 77 · Harold Perkins Jr. · LB · rank 132
Harold Perkins Jr. in No. 77 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It fills a real need, too.
R3.23 · Pick 87 · Jadarian Price · RB · rank 69
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Jadarian Price in Round 3, Pick 23, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
R3.25 · Pick 89 · Parker Brailsford · C · rank 129
Parker Brailsford at the 89th overall pick is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A need, and now a little less of one.
R3.26 · Pick 90 · Billy Schrauth · OG · rank 119
Billy Schrauth in the Round 3 slot is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
R3.30 · Pick 94 · Isaiah World · OT · rank 145
They left a pile of value on the table to take Isaiah World this early at the 94th pick. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
R4.30 · Pick 130 · Drew Allar · QB · rank 156
Value said wait; Drew Allar in pick No. 130 says they were not listening. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
R5.11 · Pick 151 · Oscar Delp · TE · rank 131
Steal is underselling it; Oscar Delp at slot 151 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The roster fit checks out.
R5.31 · Pick 171 · Zane Durant · DT · rank 177
A straight-up fair deal on Zane Durant at pick No. 171, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
R7.11 · Pick 227 · Zavion Thomas · WR · rank 219
A tidy bit of business in No. 227, where Zavion Thomas graded well above the range. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
R7.22 · Pick 238 · Barion Brown · WR · rank 252
A reach for Barion Brown in the 238th pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
