The tape said wait; the Dolphins did not. Trey Taylor went at pick No. 241, a good 27 picks before the board was ready.
If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback. They banked enough surplus on Sweat to cover a lot of smaller sins.
Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick-by-Pick
In pick 21 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value.
T'Vondre Sweat in the 55th pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Tanor Bortolini at the Round 6 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
No edge and no loss on Julian Pearl in No. 198; it is a wash and a sensible one. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
They talked themselves into Trey Taylor at pick No. 241, and the board did not agree. It adds depth where they could use a little.
