· 5 steals
· 2 reaches
They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Josh Cuevas, 183 picks early at pick 61. It nets out a thoroughly average C+.
The Mauigoa steal is the beam this whole class leans on. They punted on wide receiver, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.
A perfectly average weekend, for better and for worse.
Pick-by-Pick
In the 13th pick they get a red-zone target to build around, though the board says they badly overpaid. A real need, handled.
A big swing on Josh Cuevas at slot 61, well ahead of any board in the building. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Steal is underselling it; Francis Mauigoa at No. 93 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Skyler Gill-Howard at pick No. 207 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A need, and now a little less of one.
Taking Matt Gulbin in the Round 7 slot is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Rayshaun Benny in the 251st overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
The board fumbled Sawyer Robertson all the way to pick 252, and they scooped it up. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
