The Titans looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Tony Rojas at pick No. 184 regardless, 186 picks early.
Landing Hood that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. Carson Beck is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.
Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

Carson Beck in the 4th overall pick is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Arvell Reese at the 35th pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Nicholas Singleton at slot 66 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Josh Moten at the Round 4 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
You do not let a cornerback like Colton Hood reach pick No. 142 and blink. They did not. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
They will replay KC Concepcion at No. 144 for years; that is how good the value is. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
