The rest of the league will want that one back. Keon Coleman tumbling to the Dolphins in Round 3, Pick 16 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. Every board in the league had Kamara lower, and that gap is the story.
They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.
Good work on the whole, with quarterback the one box left unchecked.
Pick-by-Pick
A reasonable price with a little left over, T'Vondre Sweat in pick No. 55. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Sedrick Van Pran in Round 3, Pick 1 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. A need, and now a little less of one.
A wide receiver of that caliber at the 80th overall pick is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Zak Zinter. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
The board had cheaper options than Mohamed Kamara at No. 116, and it noticed. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Jarrian Jones at the Round 6 slot is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Jaylan Ford in pick 199 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The roster fit checks out.
They went early on Gabe Hall in slot 200, and the value did not follow. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A tidy bit of business in the 239th overall pick, where Tyler Owens graded well above the range. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
