If confidence were a draft strategy, the Eagles would have aced it. Cole Payton at pick 54 is 139 spots clear of where he belonged.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.
