The tape said wait; the Giants did not. Cade Denhoff went at the Round 6 slot, a good 276 picks before the board was ready.
The World pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

DeMonte Capehart slid further than he should have, and pick No. 145 is lovely value for the interior defensive lineman. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.

They reached a country mile for Roderick Kearney at pick 192, and the board is aghast. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
