The Rams looked at the value chart, folded it up, and took Dominic Zvada at pick No. 13 regardless, 289 picks early.
That is a cornerback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. That wide receiver hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They will answer for taking specialist early while wide receiver, safety and other spots went begging.
It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
Pick-by-Pick
The eyebrow-raiser of the weekend. They went specialist with Dominic Zvada while clear needs at wide receiver, safety and other spots sat open.
They paid up for Max Klare at slot 61 when waiting would have done the job. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
They will replay Brandon Cisse at the 93rd pick for years; that is how good the value is. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Dallen Bentley slid further than he should have, and the Round 6 slot is lovely value for the tight end. The roster fit checks out.
Miles Kitselman in pick No. 232 is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. It fills a real need, too.
Josh Cuevas at Round 7, Pick 35 is money in the bank, a tight end taken below his worth. A need, and now a little less of one.
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Luke Altmyer at the 252nd overall pick. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
