The Seahawks clearly saw something nobody else did in Carson Beck, taking him 88 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C.
So much rides on Carson Beck that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. Trotter falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.
It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.

In No. 32 they get the face of the franchise, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
