There is a lot to like until you notice quarterback is still a hole. The Cardinals never got to the one that mattered most.
The cost of the Walker reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Interior defensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
If Deone Walker and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
Pick-by-Pick
In the Round 1 slot they get a wrecking ball inside, reach and all. A real need, handled.
They liked Jay Higgins enough to skip the value, taking him in pick 51. A need, and now a little less of one.
