When the story of this class is written, it opens with DeWayne Carter at pick 69, a reach of 34 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Grable. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.
They were the ones paying the moving tax this weekend.

Pick-by-Pick
In No. 11 they get a potential shutdown corner, even if it was a touch early. Exactly the need they had to hit.
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Keon Coleman. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
A swing that ignored the value entirely, DeWayne Carter well ahead of where he belonged. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
They paid up for Cedric Gray at the 105th pick when waiting would have done the job. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Braelon Allen in the Round 4 slot is fair value, right on his grade. The roster fit checks out.
A big swing on Hunter Nourzad at pick No. 140, well ahead of any board in the building. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
A wild overpay on Logan Lee in slot 181, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Good price on Keith Randolph Jr. in pick 225, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Taking Tylan Grable in the 253rd overall pick is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
